Indian men cricket team won ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on 9th march. Whole team and country is full of joy as India has reached on top by defeating worlds best seven teams in a championship.
Indian team combination of experienced players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Muhammad Shami and youngsters like Shumbhman Gill, Varun Chakravarty, Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul dominated all sections of the game.
Indian team beat top rival teams like Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and New Zealand twice in the tournament. Indian Team was unbeaten throughout the tournament. Indian bowlers played crucial role in Indian win of championship. In absence of fast bowler Jaspeet Bumrah performance of bowling unit was impressive.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to play 2027 World Cup?
Amid speculation on retirement of Indian senior players Rohit and Virat after champions trophy, Rohit has clearly denied any such plans clearly and stated there is no retirement plan and he is going to play this format more.
So now it is expected that if form and fitness goes well both the senior players may play till World Cup 50 overs to be conducted in 2027. As Rohit denied any plans of retirement fans are pretty happy about his decision.
